PicPeek Terms of Use

Welcome to PicPeek. These Terms of Use are entered into between you and Zhenzhi Technology (ZKnowAI) ("we", "us" or "our") for your download, installation, launch, access to or use of the PicPeek software and related services. ZKnowAI is operated by Shenzhen Zhenzhi Technology Co., Ltd.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not download, install or use PicPeek. By checking, clicking, or accepting in the app, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms. PicPeek may store the agreement revision date you accepted locally to determine whether the Terms and Privacy Policy need to be shown again.

1. Product Description

PicPeek is a local-first image viewing and comparison tool. It is mainly used to view local images, inspect screenshots, compare design assets or visual regression results, and check pixel colors and image differences.

PicPeek currently does not require account registration, does not provide cloud albums or cloud sync, and does not process your image content through server-side workflows.

2. Use Rules

You must comply with applicable laws, app marketplace rules and these Terms when using PicPeek. You may not use PicPeek for illegal activities, infringement, fraud, malicious monitoring, unlawful data processing, or any activity that disrupts PicPeek, other users, devices or systems.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the lawful rights to open, view, edit, save, compare or export the images and files you use. Any rights dispute arising from your local files or third-party content is your responsibility.

3. Local Files and Content

PicPeek accesses local images, folders or clipboard images only when you actively select, drag in, paste, or specify them through local automation commands.

Except where you actively share content through your operating system or third-party tools, PicPeek does not upload your images, file names, folder paths, clipboard images or comparison results to us or third-party servers.

4. Clipboard Auto Pinning

PicPeek provides an optional clipboard auto-pinning feature. This feature is off by default and runs only after you enable it.

When enabled, PicPeek monitors clipboard changes locally. If a new clipboard image is detected, PicPeek reads the image locally and creates a temporary local image file to open a pinned image window. PicPeek does not store clipboard history, does not actively read text clipboard content, does not upload clipboard images, and does not replace or clear your clipboard.

5. Version Updates

Different distribution channels may update differently:

PicPeek's Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, version update, paid license and subscription activation services are provided through https://picpeek.zknowai.com. Except for the operating system, app marketplace, payment provider or third-party pages opened by you, PicPeek will not access other business domains for these services.

6. Fees and Purchases

Some PicPeek features may currently be free to use, but free use does not mean that those features will remain free permanently. We have the right to add, adjust or enable paid features at any time based on product operation needs, including one-time purchases, subscriptions, license keys, membership benefits or other value-added services. Specific prices, benefits, billing cycles, refund rules, renewal rules and cancellation methods are subject to the in-app purchase page, app marketplace page or separately displayed purchase terms.

If PicPeek provides paid license verification, subscription activation or entitlement checks, the related services will be provided through https://picpeek.zknowai.com. Payments, invoicing, refunds and subscription management may also be handled by Apple, Google, Microsoft Store or other app marketplaces and are subject to their rules.

For users in the European Union, United Kingdom or other regions with mandatory consumer protection laws, these Terms do not exclude, limit or affect any non-waivable consumer rights, statutory guarantees, withdrawal rights or mandatory remedies. If these Terms conflict with mandatory consumer protection rules, those mandatory rules prevail.

7. Intellectual Property and Open Source License

The software, interface, documents, icons, trademarks, service names, feature designs and related content of PicPeek are owned by us or the lawful rights holders, except as otherwise provided by law or open source licenses.

The open source version of PicPeek is licensed under GPL-3.0-only. Your use, copying, modification and redistribution of the open source version must comply with GPLv3. For closed-source integration, commercial product integration, white-label distribution or other licensing arrangements different from GPLv3, please contact service@zknowai.com for a commercial license.

8. Service Changes and Liability Limits

We may update, adjust, suspend certain features, or stop maintaining old versions of PicPeek based on product planning, system compatibility, security, laws, regulations or app marketplace requirements.

PicPeek is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses caused by local files, third-party images, external devices, operating systems, app marketplaces, hardware failures, network interruptions, permission settings, user errors or force majeure beyond the scope required by law.

8A. App Store, Seller and Trader Information

If PicPeek is distributed in the European Union, United Kingdom, United States, mainland China or other regions through an app marketplace, the seller, developer, trader, merchant or legal entity information shown in the app marketplace should be consistent with the public legal pages. The real legal entity name, public business address, public phone number, registration number, merchant information and store account details should come from company and app-store records; we do not invent unconfirmed entity details on this page.

If app marketplace rules or local law require additional public information, we will update the app marketplace listing, support page or this legal page.

9. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be published through the official website, app marketplace page, in-app entry or other reasonable methods, with the effective date indicated.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

The formation, validity, performance, interpretation and dispute resolution of these Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Disputes arising from these Terms or the use of PicPeek should first be resolved through friendly negotiation; if negotiation fails, they shall be submitted to the competent court at the operator's domicile, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
